There are two questions that struck me in this chapter.

1.  Which is more likely to lead a rich, happy life:a childhood of Nintendo and Playstations, or one of hikes and bikes?  I think the jury may still be out on this, but for me, it would be hikes and bikes.  People complain that kids don’t spend enough time outdoors and all they do is sit in front of a computer or television screen.  The statistics on obesity seem to support that the youth of today are sitting instead of being active.  However, this is not only a youth problem, it is an adult problem, as well.  It seems no one is spending time outside like they once used to.  I wonder if it is related to computers and televisions or if there is some other factor, as well.

2.Which do we need more: computer literacy or literacy?  I would hope the answer for everyone would be literacy.  I know it is for me.  Literacy has to come first.  Students, for the most part, have to be literate to function in the real world.  Do they have to be computer literate? No.  They do need computer literacy to be productive in some career choices.
